Which Sim card to choose for a GSM hunting camera?

You can choose between two types of SIM card: the classic SIM card and the M2M SIM card. It all depends on your use and your budget. In 99% of cases, we recommend classic Sim cards. To be able to make an informed choice, here are some differences between these two types of SIM.

The classic SIM card

We call it classic because it is the SIM card that is generally known to the general public. This is the one we use for our smartphones and tablets.  The GSM hunting cameras accept them without any problems, regardless of the telephone operator. These SIM cards follow the same rules as your smartphone, whether it's pros and cons. Its advantage is its relatively low price. And this applies to subscriptions and their use, as well as to the quality of the network. Its downside is that in the middle of the countryside, you may not have network coverage.

The M2M SIM card

M2M has just Machine to Machine. This SIM card is a map specially designed for connected objects, such as GPS trackers and GPS cameras. Its great advantage is that it can never end up off network coverage. This is due to the fact that there are multi-operator M2M SIMs. In this case, the SIM moves from one operator to another. This is ideal for frequent travellers, as it has a permanent roaming.  Its downside is its price, which is more expensive than for the traditional SIM card, which is detrimental if it is not a professional investment. If its purchase is not directly offered by the dealer, some traditional telephone operators offer it to a professional clientele.
