Onboard car camera

As the name suggests, a car on-board camera is a small camera that installs in your car. Its role is to film and record everything that happens outside, as well as around the cockpit. This road safety device is presented as a small box on the windshield or dashboard of the vehicle.

Also called dashcam, It is designed to record all visual information about your car's journey. In fact, it films in video format everything that is in the driver's visual field. Some devices split with both one camera at the front of the vehicle and another at the rear.

On the other hand, some car cameras also have a "parking" mode. They then become real motion or shock sensor monitoring devices, during the duration of your parking. So when someone approaches your car or the key, the camera automatically triggers and transmits what's going on around the car.

More efficient cameras can have a GPS to indicate your vehicle's routes or to emit hazard signals. The main interest is to certify the speed, the geo location of your car, as well as the date and time of the shots.
