Night vision camera

Definition

The night vision camera is a photo and video recording device capable of capturing a night scene without the need for lighting. To do this, it illuminates the scene of light or infrared flash.

Specificities

The infrared flash used by the night vision camera is invisible to the naked eye. The subject does not realize that he is filmed. The night vision camera should not be confused with the infrared camera. The latter is a camera that captures the heat waves emitted by the body it films. This type of spy camera is mainly used to locate a victim in serious accidents or natural disasters. The resulting image is tinted in the colors of the rainbow depending on the heat that the registered subjects release.

Use

The night vision camera is used to shoot in conditions where there is no light, whether in a dark room or outdoors. Nevertheless, it is more commonly used for capturing images or videos of wild animals. It is then called hunting camera. More rarely, she is coupled to a spy camera for surveillance missions.
