Microphone

The microphone is a device that converts an acoustic signal into an electrical signal. It is used in a variety of areas, from telecommunications, sound systems, broadcastradio to sound recording. In principle, the microphone has a moving part that is sensitive to sound waves. The mechanical oscillations thus produced are converted into a variable electrical voltage that is routed to the amplification system, or to the recording system for the case of the micro spy camera

There are several kinds of microphones that are used depending on the need or the type of source to be recorded. They are classified by their level of directivity which is characterized by the sensitivity and provenance of the sound. Some models perceive sounds from all over the environment while others identify near or distant sound sources. This includes the types of directivity that are omnidirectional, cardioid, supercardioid and two-way.

Microphones plugged into digital recorders such as SPY USB stick or the camera pen are designed to offer directional recordings in noisy environments. These microphones reduce ambient noise and noise interference and improve transcription quality when voice recognition software is used.
