Hunt

Hunting is the hunt for animals for the purpose of capturing or slaughtering and eating them. This activity is subject to a regulation that must be scrupulously respected otherwise it is called poaching.

This practice has led to another discipline created for photography enthusiasts. This is photographic hunting. As part of this activity, a photographer, in order to collect images of animals, will use the means and techniques borrowed from traditional hunters to be able to approach animals.

Photographic hunting requires the use of photographic equipment that often results in the use of long-lensling, useful especially for photographing birds. Other types of lenses may also be needed, such as brighter lenses that offer high trigger speeds or compensate for lack of light.

As this is a long-term activity, the photographer should camp in the wild for a while. But in the event that it is unable to do so, there are now hunting cameras able to take images of quality animals.  These photographic traps have all the characteristics necessary for a photographic hunt, including discretion, autonomy and image quality.
