Embedded camera

The on-board camera is a digital camera that is used to film a scene while being immersed in a given situation. It is most often found in the sports field, but especially on a vehicle in which case it is called dashcam

These cameras are usually compact, robust and water resistant to allow them to operate in any situation. They also have a wide-angle type lens through which they can capture as much of a range of action as possible. Sports-related devices are attached to helmets, handlebars or other strategic locations. In the car, it is attached to the windshield.

To make their use easy, on-board cameras are often linked to mobile applications that allow the viewing of the recorded image live through a wifi or Bluetooth connection.  Depending on the model, the on-board car camera can have a built-in LCD screen to get a direct feedback from the filmed images.  The camera can also back up images if it is equipped with a micro SD memory card. The capacity of the card will then determine how many minutes you can record. Most on-board cameras work with a loop recording. As a result, the old images are crushed by the new ones. So you'll never run out of storage space.
